Silence

Too often do we lose comfort
When no one says a word
It's amazing what you can hear
When not a sound is heard

Silence can be full of joy
And it can be full of pain
Sometimes it occurs at the time of loss
Sometimes at the time of gain

Listen to the silence
Soak up the empty space
Silence is always among us
Yet doesn't always take place

Don't be afraid of silence
Silence doesn't mean you're dead
Just listen to what is heard
When not a word is said
