Silence

To be silent then be heard
never ceases to fail.
Especially when frustrated
and ready to bail.

Have we become accustomed
to drama in our lives?
So much though that we forget
fighting won't survive.

When you feel ready to scream
out your thoughts,
wait for a minute
for you'll be distraught.

Close your mouth and
and take it all in,
Instead of losing
you surely will win!

So true, Kristen. Words spoken in anger often leave us with regrets. Astute observation in this great poem. Congratulations on your win, Love, Carolyn
