Silence

Silence is golden or, so the saying goes. But what is silence? Absence of sound, unspoken words, the stillness of the night? Silence is a miracle of things. Silence is a quiet serene place, a retreat from a noisy world. Silence is a calm to a trouble mind and a weary soul. Silence is peace in the middle of chaos, or a thought turned into a prayer. Silence is a beautiful rare flower in a lush green meadow. Silence are majestic snow-capped mountains standing tall above a valley. Silence are the soft petals of a rose as they fall away from its stem making room for the new. Silence is the breeze that blows gently across the hills of a countryside filled with grazing sheep. Silence is a colorful rainbow after a summer rain, and fluffy white clouds in a clear, blue sky. Silence is an eagle as it soars high across the sky in an upward flight. Silence is the sun's rays as it rises in the morning bringing light to the world. Silence is the twinkling of the stars, and the shinning of the moon as they light up the dark sky. Silence is the horizontal skyline over the ocean as the sunsets at dusk. Silence is the snow falling gently on the ground, covering it with a pristine whiteness. Silence is a leaf as it falls from a tree in Autumn. Silence is the budding of a cherry blossom tree on a spring day. Silence is the shadow of a palm tree on a hot, balmy day. Silence is the reflection of a white swan as it swims gracefully across a crystal, clear lake. Silence is a candle that lights up a corner in a dark room. Silence is a secret kept until, it is ready to be told. Hence, silence can both be seen and not heard but, it has voice. Listen to the voice of silence as it speaks to the eyes of the beholder.
