I know what you mean Eve, years ago noise didn't bother me, took my two grandsons to a play centre for children, you can imagine the noise they generated lol. But the sounds of nature of say a babbling brook or a waterfall are much more welcoming. Tom

I know what you mean Sara, a world without sound would be indeed a lonely one but occasionly the peace it brings us can be very uplifting. Tom

Defining music can sometimes be difficult because what is classed as music in some cultures may not be shared by other cultures. Then of course there is what you would call silent music, John Cage, Korn and even John Lennon have composed pieces with no sound which is what I'm referring to in the senryu , the golden sound of silence. Tom
