Sign of the Times

Since forever it seems humans have made war-
Idol gods have tried to turn us from our faith, and the
gateway arch to and from hades has been flung open, so that
narcissism, wickedness and hate can rule.

Obedient, like cattle to slaughter the followers walk behind
fake gods that betray each other and all humankind.

Today is not like the far gone yesterdays, it is all about
how nations fight nations and the killed falling- and
even trust has died, died, died . . .

Today, men and women filled with hate kill the innocent, while
inside their heads the false gods whisper- hate, kill, hate, kill-
My soul weeps cold with sorrow for what I see
everyday on the television and read in newspapers . . . but
in faith, this girl will stand firm behind the real God and be ready in my
soul and heart for when my end comes . . . .

Well done, BW. It boggles my mind how so many are unconcerned with the consequences of their misdeeds, if for nothing else than their own afterlife.
