Sight, Light, Fright, Delight and Benight

I saw her once
In the glance and
In trance I stood.

My heart was light
Walked with light step
But light waned out.

Heard her foot near
Was all ears but
Oh, fear crept in.

Looked at her face
Could not place her
Preface to see.

Then she was nigh
Heard her sigh still
Felt pry on me.
