Shy Me

SHY ME

I long to be free
From cages in me
That hold me tightly
Can't try to pretend
To be unfettered

I long to love
Sweet mourning doves
Playful coo blissed
To open heart’s kiss

I long cause
I'm alone
And have pause

To be
Freely

Me

It's nice to meet you Lonna, and I know how you feel. I think as poets, a lot of us can relate to being shy, I know I can! Where I avoid FB for the most part, I find I can relate to other poets on Poetry Soup :)
