Shout
You were there in the dark
holding a place for me;
The warmth of a candle
not a word was spoken,
every fear we'd handle;
You were there in the dark;
Melancholy soaking
covered it with a towel;
Hug like battle armor
pulled a smile from a scowl;
You were there in the dark
and I was there for you;
Far off or a quick ride
all you need is to shout
I will be by your side.
