Short Trip

I'm saving it all down to my last nickel For for a trip that may sound to you radical. Recycling my cans And planning my plans I'm about to take a short sabbatical. I pack all my stuff in the car Including my gas money jar It's a full as can be, A whole buck ninety-three. It's okay, I'm not going very far. About one mile out of town I start yearnin' Last year I went three (seems I'm learning) I say, "Aww phooey!" And then flip a U-ey 'Cause the best part of vacation is returnin'.
