Short Love Affair

i walked in never thought i had a date with destiny

i sat down and i was waiting for my agony

you crossed my eyes and it felt like an eternity

time stopped people disappeared and here was i ,in captivity

i looked at you and you looked back and there were us exchanging those eye contacts

you smiled and i smiled back ,god please am too young for a heart attack

i listened to your chit chat am sorry i couldn't hold back ,but i never thought angels do talk

sow some friends had to say hello ,i looked at you and you watched me as i go

i came back and sow you alone, you welcomed me like god welcoming a lost soul

i sat down and here we go again ,the agony ,the captivity ,the eternity came back like a hail of rain

the moment came when you got up leaving causing me pain ,i should have seen it coming god what a shame

it took me a minute to follow you outside ,i couldn't see you .. ow there you are inside your car

i watched you drive vanishing through the light why wouldn't i approach you when it felt so right

 will i see you ,could we ever meet again ,answers delayed but in my heart you remain my sweet short love affair

Andrea Dietrich August 21, 2015 at 9:52 PM oh isn't that the way it goes?? THis reminds me so much of that song that was on the radio a long time ago? I can't remember its title any more, maybe it's name was "you're beautiful" Do you know which song I mean? I really liked this. I wrote a poem similar to this one a long time ago and it was in sonnet form!
