Shoes, Bags and Tags

SHOES, BAGS AND TAGS

I’ve got a thing for handbags, all shapes and sizes
It’s a bother changing, but the occasion always arises
Whether pink, black, white, or brown,
Alongside others, I never wear a frown,
Bags for every season, which allows me different disguises!

Then of course there’s shoes, but here look at the sizes,
And at the heel, not cool to tumble, there’d be reprises,
Bags and shoes must now be matching,
Message sent, prefer to be quite fetching,
My choice is dice dependant, and how everyone surmises!

Sounds complicated to me. Maybe you can go Merse shopping with me? I’m thinking something with purple polka dots would be nice.

I am at the point where everything goes into one bag that is so colorful I cannot lose it. I know I have other bags, but I have to know which ONE has the cards I need so badly. I think this is due to my crisis of collecting EVERYTHING and having way too many things in every room, and every car. Nice poem.

I know the feeling, although i do collect far too many bags, end up using one for about 2 months until I find the time to empty it out and hope nothing bites me! Thanks for a fun comment Caren, Hugs, Jennifer

In my youth when working in offices it was necessary to look fashionable but now a good comfortable pair that goes with my jeans and I'm happy. Great job well done. God Bless, JB

I don't have the same interest in shoes and bags, whatever is cheap and comfortable works for me, but I love the flow and swing of your rhymes here!

I did go overboard a bit with poetic license, and the shoes I have are not high heels but also very comfortable, However when I do go shopping and I pass a shoe shop, I cant help flirting with their shop front! Glad you liked the flow and swing of my poem! Hugs, Jennifer.

Bags and shoes are usually a woman's best friends. Generally a case of match & mix, preferably designer ones, and often come at a price!! Both stanzas make for pleasant reading, Jenny. ~ Warm regards & Hugs // paul

I see you already know the whims of ladies Paul, having three (if I am not mistaken) in your family. My mother and I used to go out shopping and my son used to stay with his grandpa and build lego, he knew a surprise would arrive with our return - he was between 8 when he lost my dad who was like a father to him. A light poem, two heavy poems preceded this one. thank-you for an understanding comment Paul, warm regards and hugs Jennifer.

Cute and clever... The older I get, the more I understand the desire to match up bags and shoes. When I was younger, it just all seemed like a colossal waste to me. Not anymore. Life deserves some style, some majesty. What was King Lear without his retinue, after all? :) gw

Thanks for such a kind comment Gershon - its the bags that I match up mostly, they are used for all daily occasions and clients I visit. Have our business for over 28 years, and our clients have come to know and respect us - have to visit each one every 3/4 months. Must look business like. Thanks Gershon, Hugs, Jennifer.

I guess because they can be kinda cute - men are more practical, I know hubby is, and wont spend long looking, and if he finds the right size, he takes them immediately. That is the only thing he shops for, shoes! Well me, I' just a browser, just looking - loved your comment Charlie. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer. Thanks for a fun comment Charlie -

Hello Jennifer … ah yes; shopping. The one thing I avoid more than anything if I can - although you're verse with colour and fashion does show these is merit in it - thanks Jennifer - Lindsay

My father and my husband also the same - hate shopping - I do all the shopping therefore for Elias. My bags - I buy one from all the places we have visited in South Africa or if we go overseas occasionally bring back a couple. My favourite place for shopping bags is at the Kruger park, they have wonderful shops, mainly for tourists , and their bags are irresistible - thanks for a heartfelt comment Lindsay, i have a giggle sometimes, our poor husbands, but hubby scores whenever I do go shopping - a wonderful weekend, for you I hope Lindsay - Hugs Jennifer.

I guess so Vijay, but its my handbags more than my shoes that is almost like a collection - shoes not as many as the poem says, but was having fun with my write. Thank you Vijay I think most women like bags, some a little more than others! What I dislike is make up , just lipstick and day cream. Have a lovely weekend my friend, Hugs, Jennifer.

Hi sweet Sunshine smile, just thought it would make a good limerick - my shoes are always comfortable, unless we are going out somewhere special and bags are just enough - went for poetic licence this time and exaggerated a bit just for fun! Have a wonderful weekend dear friend and soul sister, Hugs, Jennifer.
