Shoebox Memories

A box of memories deep, a shoebox where the inside makes me weep. Photos, and things of those above, all of my family . . . . that I still love. I trace images with my finger, and my memories of them still linger. Death cannot destroy our bond, though, they are in another realm beyond.

Congratulations dear poetess on your first place win in this contest with a lovely rhyming poem on dear memories preserved in a shoebox the flight of time has not erased. Wishing you a bright Sunday.

Very deep and touching, dear Constance. Memories of dear ones do not die, though they are gone forever from our presence.

I love your entry. Relate to it EASILY. Live it, sometimes difficult but it's amazing how, in time, one can 'miss' without hurting.
