Shiver
You transmit in alphabet icicle candles
Dipped into crystal and crimson wine
Drawn with a sensual needlepoint tracing
From the nape of my neck to the base of my spine.
I shiver beneath your moonlight gazing,
Freeze in the grip of your loving charms,
Thaw and dissolve in a sensate kaleidoscope,
Yet shiver and melt in the warmth of your arms.
You send me in seizures of rapid breathing
Chilled in a fjord where midnight snows,
Massaged with a touch of frost and volcano
From the top of my head to the tips of my toes.
I shiver despite your body temperature,
Tremor though heat rages out of your skin;
Anticipate love with a soul full of certainty
Yet shiver for life is about to begin...
