Shhh: Don'T Mention the Birthdays

One often sees a life become,

besieged by insecurity and doubt,

an aimless shameless shapeless thing

meandering about

in search of goals and hopes

where memories only crowd

to obscure those horizons vision splendid once allowed

in times when life was so much bolder.

It’s such a bugger, getting older.
