She's Not Complaining

The moon was full but now it's waning.
The sun is out yet it's steadily raining.
The devil's beating his wife but
she's not complaining.

Hi Andrea, It's just an expression that I remember people saying when I was young.."when the sun is out and it is raining, the devil is beating his wife", funny things that stick in one's head over time. Hope your day is a bright and sunny one.

Oddly satisfying, like those old English subversive political verses. They end then with something even more outrageous like, "That's how the lollipop pops!" Elizabeth
