Shelter

All I want is shelter
For the storm cloud above me
It follows wherever I go
And won’t leave me alone

If I asked for a break
If only just a second
It would laugh in my face
And continue it’s downpour

If all I want is shelter
Is that too much to ask?
Do I live in a world
That’s rooted in the past?

All I want is a little place
A break from this storm
A place that I could call my home
Is that so much to know?

I’ll continue to look for shelter
In the never-ending storm
I hope one day I’ll find it
But for now I’ll never know
