Shell
The birds’ insistent chirp
Sunrays reflecting on the pond
Sweet scent of freshly cut grass
Spring beauty all around
And yet…
I feel no joy, an empty shell upon the shore
Here, but not alive
Rocks upon my chest
There is no place for me
Redundant
All the cheer has gone
Alone
