SHED
I have no animosity towards you, oppressor.
The raging feelings of anger and hatred are no longer my staple.
I have become a compassionate man,
Capable of reason and forgiveness.
In a way, I can understand your past deeds.
Mayhaps, if I'd been in your shoes, I would've done the same.
This new mind of reason compels me to consider your childhood.
Mayhaps you were never loved, struck by the ones you felt safe around.
Behold, you Saints up above, look how empathetic I've become.
I'd even share a hot meal with her,
If I could forget the evil she's done.
To forgive you is to betray the self,
The self that endured your oppression,
Your mental torture, your vile words,
Your atrocities against his body.
How can I be so treasonous as to forget the reason for my shortcomings?
The reason as to why I sleep alone,
The reason why I wanna die instead of courting my Donna.
You have not wronged me, oppressor.
I can say I forgive you and mean it, but it'd be in vain.
It is not my place to forgive you, for I have not been wronged.
I had to kill your victim, for his pain was a weight no mortal should bear.
His dying wish, unconditional retribution, fell to my head.
As a new self, who am I to defy my foundation?
I only desire to kill your old self, but how can I tell she isn't you?
I cannot tell the two apart.
Now both of you shall face my wrath.
