She Will Not Let Them In

She loves her friends when she is in a friend-loving mood.
Not today.
Not yesterday.
Not last week.

She is in an angry mood, a mean, melancholy
“I want to be alone” in my sadness mood.
They call but she does not answer.
One rapped on her door last week.
She heard her calling too.
She stopped breathing
until her friend went away.

She deletes their texts, not even looking at them.
She needs her friends now more than ever.
This is when they will have to run in and save her.
They will have to break down the door
or a wall with an axe.

She will barricade the door. She will not let them in.
They are coming to save her, right?

There are many, many in our world like this. It's bizarre! The Internet can be a shut off valve for some. I don't get that. But I have to and move on. We can't save people, just us Panagitota

We can only save ourselves, but even when we know that sometimes we do not do it. This is why it is confusing.
