She Walks In Darkness

Who was she ... The one who walks drifting out and in? A haunting beauty, pale, porcelain - like. As solemn as the ever silent night. Partaking of this twilight, cloudless. It's chilling climes, thrilling arms and eyes, glowing starry at blackened skies. From mansion walls and behind doors and all. Over the floor that's creaking it's best. Skating the ends of corridors gone dark. To the window and in ghostly bright? Inspired by ... She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Lord Byron - She Walks In Beauty

Kelly, so well done! Wonderful poem using the "golden shovel" form. Vibrant imagery and wonderful transition from one line to the next using the Lord Byron poem. You have created a gloomy, ghostly atmosphere. Blessings and best wishes for the contest. I think you have a winner.
