She Sent a Wink

She sent a wink across the crowd
They all swooned and went loud
Suddenly the light went out
A spotlight cascade on you I was devout.

We were yours now, in your hand
You are now the magician; charm, make us glad!
The wand is in your hand for you to use
Graciously you have become our Venus.

I told myself the song was for me
I believe the wink belongs to me
And I still trust in the hand of Destiny
Perhaps one day you will be with me.
