She Lived, Shared, Loved

Sweet cherub, she lived for travel, laughs and smiles, to offer hope, joy. We shared proms, Native art, double dates, dreams, theater, happiness. She loved River Dance, snow ball fights, horses, Merlot, Richard Gere, me. Porcelain doll with fair skin, Elaine shed tears, gave happiness. Gentle heart, soft voice, she welcomed sunrise with bliss, meditation. Heaven bound, she dwells in a place with no illness, just peace and love.

Dear Robert, I will start reading and commenting on poems again when the pain of losing Elaine eases a bit. You have been generous with your comments and I want you to know that I have noticed and appreciate them.

Carolyn, this brought tears to my eyes...how utterly splendid in three ways. 1) Poetically...a precious use of cherished words and sentiments; 2) how wonderful this person gave of herself to another's life in such profound ways; 3) how impactful that her life touched yours in such meaningful ways that you write here and now about that touch. Thank you for sharing. I am moved.

Thank you so much, Michael. I just learned of Elaine's death Tuesday evening, so I have been thinking about all of the good times we shared and how special a friend she was. She touched many lives with her joy, love and kindness. Everyone who knew her loved her. Your comment means more to me than you might ever know.

Dear Dr. Ram, I've had to cancel all of my appointments this week as the pain of losing Elaine has been overwhelming. As the pain eases, I will be able to read and comment on poems again. Right now I'm having trouble concentrating. Thank you for reading.
