She Falls In Love
To tiptoe through the aqua of his eyes
and feel unmoving waters in his gaze.
I watch his lashes lilting with my sighs,
and know their umber fills my glowing days.
Then as each second of my breathing flies
I'll feel his kisses through an amber haze;
when Summer dies and darkens to the Fall
I'll know his love's the greatest gift of all.
His lips upon my neck do colors bring,
their touch upon my skin lifts me to thrall;
in Fall his love still means eternal Spring.
As shades now darken to cold season's call,
chartreuse and coral does new Autumn sing
as though a blissful Summer cannot stall.
He helped me fall in love despite my sins;
from here the story of my life begins.
