She Dwells In Luxury
Luxury and elegance surround her.
White satin, interwoven with silver threads
covers her walls and ceiling.
Soft feather pillows lie at her head and feet,
and bouquets of flowers line her chamber,
while the scent of perfume and incense
fills her surroundings.
Her complexion is soft and flawless.
Her long dark lashes curve slightly upwards,
Her lips are lush and full,
Her auburn hair, soft as silk, is tied with a golden braid.
She wears the finest clothing.
Her long flowing gown is covered in shining sequins,
the neckline and sleeves overlaid with ornate, antique lace.
Pearls adorn her long, slender neck
and diamonds sparkle from her tiny, delicate ears.
The exterior of her domain boasts of oak from Cypress,
gold from Egypt and ivory from Africa.
It speaks of permanence, luxury and wealth.
It is the best that money can buy,
.......but it is only a coffin, after all.
