She Drowns Slowly

By blue degrees she drowns slowly
Like rain, fear lightly fills my palm
Amid rash seas she troubles me
Not by her fury, but her calm

Not by her fury, but her calm
Amid rash seas she troubles me
Like rain, fear lightly fills my palm
By blue degrees she drowns slowly.

This deliciously simultaneous reversing of lines and stanzas sounds incredibly delectable to the poetry-adoring chords within one's innermost mystic sancta. I actually feel like I should at once mimic and choicelessly perfect these sweetly delicate poetical contrivings...but, after all, what else could the well-knowing reader expect from any "Faulkner" -regardless of their uncannily tell-tale literary/kindred etymologies.

Your comment is so introspective and intelligent it humbles me, I appreciate your generous thoughts, Hannington.
