She Breaks Me

In the things she doesn’t say, Her glance that always stays, A touch that never fades away. The kisses withheld The feelings withdrawn the constant ache That leaves me reeling And echoes 'til dawn. I just want to see the curve of her smile, Although the moment's fleeting, It holds me over for awhile. Like a drug to my vein, intoxicating. Her beauty so sharp, too much to hold, Her warmth cuts, chills, leaves me cold. Ohhh, she breaks me, she breaks me every day, She breaks me, in every possible way. With every word, with every glance, She shatters my world, yet I still stand. She breaks me, she breaks me every day, And I can’t help but love her anyway. She breaks me in silence so deep, In the nights where shadows steal my sleep. A thousand small ways, like rain on stone, She is the storm that leaves me undone. In her breaking, I feel alive, The pain's proof I’ve survived. She’s my chaos, she’s my calm, My sweetest curse, my healing balm. She breaks me, but I wouldn’t trade, The love I feel, the scars she made. In every breaking, I’m bound to stay, For she’s my breaking, my only way.
