She

Beneath her feet sodden ground
motionless and weary she stands alone
a north wind hurls around her
yet, she does not feel the biting cold
her heart is broken and will not mend
an already grey sky darkens
motionless she is in her darkest hour
a cold hard rain begins to fall
its droplets mingle with her bitter tears
her heart is broken and will not mend
her skirt hem swims in newly formed pools
her eyes transfixed into nothingness
loneliness awaits her
silently she walks through sodden ground
her heart is broken and will not mend.

Dark night of the soul described so vividly and so precisely! It is difficult for someone to escape yet a single ray of hope could easily dissipate all darkness dearest, Julie! We have to remember even the longest night is followed by day! Wonderful and powerful writing dearest, Julie! Hugs xxx

Yes, in times like this you want to write happy poetry but I find it easier to write about faith and God, because I want hope, thank you for your comments, keep safe, Silent One.

Hello Julie Achilles, so nice to meet you. She will not heal because she was badly hurt. The pain is too strong. Enjoy your day my friend. Be strong, be safe and be well. Enjoy your day my friend.
