She

She was a beauty -
Blue eyes, golden hair
I asked her to dance
She seemed reluctant
But danced anyway

Music was right
So we danced slow
Loved the rhythm
Felt our hearts beat

Reluctant 
She had been
But no more

I love
you said

She
