The sharpness of memory through the senses; the best triggering thing for memories. I truly love this Maureen. I've tried, and even hadv to read at university, most of Proust's first book of "Remembrance of Things Past"; where everything is based on one's senses. I could write a similar poem using this same title but watching, and smelling my Nona rubbing my chest with homemade garlic; mustard; horseradish, and other things to rid my body of a cold.

If you don’t stop eating garlic you won’t find a vampire! Now for the poem, it’s a sad and happy thing to remember those who go before us. I like the intimate feel you so skillfully portrayed.
