Shark K Cat

Shark K. Cat sits patiently waiting his chance
Understanding the importance of not showing his hand early.
A lesson in patience and strategy.
He could teach both.

His owner sits amused, watching Shark K. Cat,
admiring his patience and his poker face, wishing
she could take Shark K. Cat to Vegas and let him play poker with the big boys.
Knowing they would both be richer than rich in days if she could.

Shark K. says, “It’s your turn.”
She looks at his face, knowing that he probably has another royal flush.
It’s not the way he is looking at her,
it’s just a hunch, but a good one.

I love the idea of a cat playing poker in Vegas, could teach us all a lesson in being cool!
