Shark, Cat Contortionist

Shark, the cat, is sitting catty-wampus today. He is a contortionist. His head is to the north, His tail to the west, paws to the east, crossed in a southwesterly way, except for one which is Somehow sticking up in the air like a lone feather. He is licking his Neverland region, as I step Over him. At first when I noticed him on the porch, with all these extensions, I thought he was a Fat, giant spider. Shark is an older cat, there is no way he should have this kind of agility, but He does, and I am in awe.

Love this!! Such an awesome description, and "catty-wampus"- what a great word! ;D (Your comment about Mr. Fluffy Pants also had me cracking up... it probably was humiliation... you know the razzing from "Shark" would be unbearable! hahaha

Hahaha Right. And they were brothers! Catty-wampus is a word I have always wanted to use. I am proud to do it here.

Thank you Jan. This darling cat is hiding out in a hut on the porch right now, only his eyes showing as we have a flood warning and a freeze warning right now.

I love your description of this cat with such an unusal name . Wasn't that the name of the gang on West Side STory? The Sharks and the jets? So cute . Love to read your poetry. If I had more time, caren, truly I would spend more time perusing your poems, but you write so many each day and I only have so much time to see poems here. You are wonderfully prolific.

Thank you Andrea. I am on a little mission with myself to crank out ten poems a day, since I have no idea which ones might appeal and which ones are silly. I can go from silly to irritated to enthusiastic pretty fast. Do not feel like you have to read all of this. I don't. Shark is a name my grandchildren came up with, I think it was Molly, age 5 at the time. Jack, age 3 came up with the other cat's name: Mr. Fluffy Pants." Unfortunately Shark's brother Mr. Fluffy Pants ran off years ago, maybe due to humiliation.
