Share With Me

Why are you alone?
Fear of company
In an overcrowded world
Is true loneliness
Could I please walk with you?

Where are you going?
You look as cold as I once was
From the indifference of others
We could warm each other
If we walk together

What are those scars on your soul?
They look like the scars I received
From those who uncaringly hurt
Together we can share
And begin healing

Why do you look so hungry?
You seem as starving
As I once was for love
I will gladly share
My heart with you

What will you choose?
We can warm each other
Hold each other up
Share our burdens
Or you can walk away
