Shamefaced

A cerise bite left by a pent up crush, now our addiction can’t be hidden. Every loud rumor put to a hush. ‘Please set me free… please set me free…’ That’s what I said as you took me. All I really wanted was my freedom, the choice to simply take what I needed. To say what I wanted and have you come. ‘Please set me free… please set me free…’? You flipped the script when you took me. Now you’re left with my potent aftertaste, dying slow everyday like I once was. ‘Please set me free… please set me free…’ We are now chained to each other but cleansed of the walk and the word ‘Shamefaced.’
