Shakespeare Came Back and Rose

If Shakespeare came back to life
His seed would be planted on this Earth
In the most fertile soil and mountaintop 
He would take refuge as a beautiful  rose
And bask under the sun, moon and stars
His admirers would look up and see
A rose like no other, a prodigal flower 
In  time this special rose rose to heights
Capturing the imagination of his followers
His present presents all subliminal
For this roses beauty can be read and booked
As this rose spread all over this land
This pollination, all storybook, like these roses
... held poems and a story to tell
If Shakespeare came back as a rose 
Then we came back as his fertile soil

Connie Pachecho January 8, 2023 at 7:49 PM This poetry contest is fun. For an hour an half I sat at a bar and watched the Detroit-Green Bay football game. I had a few beers and quickly became bored with the game. As my impulsiveness took over, I began typing this poem on my phone.
