Shadows

Shadows hide behind the trees Mimicking their shape. They sway and bend in perfect time But never can escape. Caught for all eternity The only time they're missed Is when the sun goes into hiding Then they don't exist. Written Aug 23, 2016

Thanks Pat for reading and commenting on my poems. This one was inspired by one of Eyvind Earle's prints called Black Spruce which has some very interesting shadows. Beverly

Thank you, Jan. So glad you looked up the painting. It hangs in my living room and I love it.
