Shadows

we're living with shadows,
I know we can't forget.
We are not the same ones we were.
Quite the opposite.
You gave me your reasons,
and I couldn't live with them
so you don't owe me a thing.
 Can I ask you this?
If you have an answer
and I find a question for it. Can we
dance in the shadows again?
 I'm losing my confidence.
You said you were leaving,
 it didn't make much sense
if I was the last place, you were.
You said I can't see you
and you're standing right next to me.
So, I'll never see you again.
I'm building my confidence.
but if you have an answer
and I find a question for it
we can dance in the shadows again.
 I'm building my confidence.
