Shadow of these Wings
Miraculous ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ stone
Against ¦¦¦ blue miraculous skies,
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ towers and turrets rise
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ arches that enthrone
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ wonder of the skies.
Softly ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦¦ spreads its wings;
¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ belfry sings.
¦¦¦¦¦¦ Ascension Day ¦¦¦¦¦
¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ shadow of those wings!
(Blackout of At Burgos by Arthur Symons)
