Shadow of a Mouse

Last night,
a spirit moved along the ceiling...
I followed it
through cat eyes.
   It moved slowly
like a winter spider
or Sower in an oil painting.
Was it a surveyor from heaven,
a hell-sent scout
or just a mousy dream
shuffling
beyond a shadow of doubt.

Checking out your poems. We both see such shadows but each is a different apparition. One that sinks into the mind to meld awe, imagination and wonder of the other side of life. Can nor believe that I am the first to comment on this intriguing and creative write!! Giving this one a solid 7 rating..
