Shadow Dancer

Morning light filtered thru the hazy crust
pale shades, white cloud clusters lay along the sky
beneath thickened layers of atmospheric dust
a sprinkling of powdery blues liquify,
points where the sun and warm peeked thru
rays that strained at every tug and pull,
the shadow dancers appear beneath the trees
in waltzes elegant with perceived up down breeze
when August slid and glided in,
the shadow dancers came
 images delightfully ingrained
just before dispersal of the summer rain.
