Shades of Life

A tiny spark from heaven above.
Sent to Earth for us to love.
So helpless, yet noisily demanding.
Soothing you to sleep as we pace the landing.
With love and care we help you through,
Your childhood difficulties, and teenage meandering.
Now you've grown into a beautiful girl.
A precious daughter a real rare pearl.
Your eyes sparkle, your hair so soft.
So why on Earth have you become a GOTH ??
Black hair, Black eyes, lips and nails.
You walk in the garden and scare the snails.
With ears, tongue, lips and brow, pierced with metal.
I can't help wondering if you will ever settle.
Chains dangling from your waist, a glove on your hand.
You walk down the street like a one man band!!
I pray one day, you will meet the guy,
Who will catch your eye.
And your present fad you will forget.
Till then my darling avoid that giant magnet!!
