Shades

Shades Who am I? I think I’m changing The one I’m now, was so not me I’m thinking, wow! I feel so different I never knew that this could be I see myself, I’m like a painting Another facet, another hue It’s more than just some simple colors It’s tints, and tones, and shades, who knew! I’m liking what my eyes are seeing It’s much more beautiful and real I didn’t know that what I’m seeing Would start in me a different feel I love the feeling, it makes me special That is to say, special to me ’Cause never did I know the pleasure Of feeling absolutely free No longer do I hide my colors I see them clearly, and I radiate I want the world to see and wonder I want the world to imitate.
