"Sewn" Super hero come walk fire with me all super heroes are freaks fuelled by their hidden vulnerability and their dark cherished secrets poets some consider romantic freaks some hide quietly mining whittling their time away, some are hell-bent, heaven-sent breaking glass ceilings strange bitter sweet creatures writing in regiments riding astride their own gallant ponies something missing, something incomplete yet all possess war medals skewered through their hearts decorated with garlands of dripping scarlet and sapphire poésies some are just fresh and green jaded trophies way out there in foreign territory see them basking like well fed leopards changing spots off planet, far removed from the fringe breaking glass ceilings yet stories in solid books stitched up and minds firmly planted long and short sentences sown together with strong spines never to be broken again (LadyLabyrinth / 2022) abstract. dripping scarlet poésies/bleeding hearts sapphire poésies/blue poetry (take that whichever way you wish) of course, blue and red could refer to the colours of flags or the quandary between taking pills, blue or red... green jaded trophies (best left to one's imagination...)

On Pain into art... Her Kind, her precision and austere style, in spite of the dark subject. The quintessential depiction of turning pain into art, can be found in Franz Kafka short story, "The Hunger Artist."

~On Tribute to the poet- expansive minds, divergent imaginative agendas, yet coalescing into a search of life's varied terrain. ~On wonder women--she shan't be shut down or up. What else is there, a biological program we follow, or a recluse who doesn't. Deleted...that was me trying to be cool. When Adam delved and Eve span, who was then the gentleman?? Below is much to ponder on, I hope I am not too Sylvia Plath at times.

I am all for women rising from the ashes; most of us have a Lilith (recluse or not) pacing inside. It is either quite evident, or just below surface level simmering waiting to erupt. The true revolutionary act, as a woman, is to stand by all women and lift them up, no matter their personality, mental state of being, personal circumstances, and not tear them down out of jealousy or fear.

I guess that requires a very high level of empathy, intuitiveness and put-togetherness (which none of us find easy, the ‘put togetherness’). I must add at this point, while one understands why another woman (barrenless) would rupture a strong bond between natural mother and child, and covetously assume the role of mother from another (considering the criminal (male) element the usurper is related to), to lead all in the complex family unit, to a screaming shambles, and to the irreparable damage between natural mother and child, is unforgivable. Yet, as difficult and eviscerating as that is to this writer, this natural mother understands and sees it for what it is.

One is inclined to think War of the Roses, but it is far more subterranean than that. They say this life was already designed for us, before we arrived into this world. Life is one big lesson. To survive, and reclaim any moral right and strength in ‘self’, one has to remove oneself from the personal atrocity and view from the other’s eyes, as difficult as that may be (speaking from personal experience). If Karma is to believed, it all balances out in the end, or beginning, whichever way you are inclined to view it. One leaves the mentality of childhood behind to understand the reason why we mature into adults.

Surely what a real woman would aspire for other women, is their reason and their ‘right’ to excel and survive victorious, for other women, not just ‘self’. Lead by example. The domino effect comes to mind. Sometimes to do that the past must be let loose and burnt to the ground, napalmed in some instances, to move forward. What is ahead on the wings of a phoenix, or on the feet of a woman (her ‘self’, and sometimes with her child/children in tow) to a refuge, with homelessness and loss of all personal shattles weighing one down, is far more important than what lies in the ashes behind us.

In most cases crashing and losing ‘sense of self’ is the ‘platform’ we need to reach to re-build ourselves. Embracing fear and walking into the dark night of the soul (which definitely requires seclusion), is what builds a warrior, or a superwoman. All failures and mistakes, can be shaped into winning conquests. The ultimate goal is peace, happiness, love, a sense of stability in self, not just for our own self, but for those we love ‘most’. A stable home is important, perhaps home is found within oneself and ‘home’ can be anywhere you choose, as needs must (I am thinking of the homeless here, and how they cope mentally to find a true sense of ‘home’; I have been there (homeless), so I do understand that issue). As for those incarcerated, ‘home’ is most important.

Responding to Kafka, The Hunger Artist, (I have read it, very PS, so Consommé, it’s amusing). We are all hungry for something, even if it is seclusion and peace. On first meeting one would be inclined to think the writer (that would be me) extrovert, the older I become the more I embrace seclusion, and the necessity not to deal with the darker, more criminally insane elements of real life, as a means to survive. I am a balance of both extraversion/introversion. Many deride seclusion, touting it’s for hermits and insane people.

Some people can only regenerate with seclusion and they are quite sane, I assure you. On a positive inclination, seclusion reveals what really resides inside a person (woman) and if it is indeed, of true strength and veritable goodness, the world will be alerted in one way or another, to that ‘truth’. Hunger games or not. Love the vision of the cigarette ash on your forehead, très zen. Kafka’s mental condition shaped his creativity, and most writers and poets, are natural recluses, who find their real ‘self’ through their creativity. That is a fact.

On above--Love the vision of the cigarette ash on your forehead, très Zen--I came to a conclusion and thought maybe sacrilegious to some and so therefore I deleted with regrets, although I think I added something just as, maybe not so sacrilegious. "On the Hunger Artist" His suffering is his art for which he attracts an avid audience. I have been engaged in your writings, really enjoy!
