Seventeen

At seventeen I fell in love with love
but not in love with the one I was with
Needless to say it quickly dissolved
I decided love has to be a myth

Later I fell in love with marriage
But not in love with the one that I had
Again it failed leaving me lonely
So I decided marriage must be bad

For seventeen more years I walked alone
But then a light shone on me from above
I found the one who was waiting for me
With seventeen (and counting) years of love!
