Seven City Observations

The city has come alive With morning rush hour traffic People are everywhere Exhaust fumes creating fog Neon lights flashing at night People dining in cafes All enjoying city life ~ Sunday morning brings respite. Written 16th May 2020. For Finish Line In Seven Sponsored by Nette Onclaud.

Congratulations on your placement; it was so well done; it did not seem to follow any stringent pattern in the least.

Thank you Caren, it was mainly sticking to the syllable count in each line, writing about a subject provided by the sponsor. Tom

Neon lights and exhaust fumes are vivid observations of that buzzing city life you have portrayed. Congratulations on your win Tom :)

G'day Tom … life before the pandemic. Will it be the same after; time will tell. Seven reason I never lived in the city, but the city is creeping closer - thank you Tom - Lindsay

Thank you Richard, have seen pictures of cities before the lockdown and the haze of smog, recent pictures show clear skies. Yet when this is over we'll continue to pump toxic fumes into the atmosphere. Man will never learn. Tom

We still don't have the normal buzz of city life here in Maryland..some are slowly opening. I see the images you captured... traffic jammed streets, fumes, neon lights..buzzing cafes--that is the essence of city life. Well done, Tom.
