For two weeks now I have slowly begun to collect all my thoughts about 2021 since the picture I captured at sunset that day seemed to wind up the year in an ominous way. I fear our country is soon to see its darkest days ~ JA January 14th, 2022 Picture taken December 31st, 2021

Hi Jeannie - I'd rather think it has already seen its darkest days and is moving into the light of optimistic tomorrows. Interesting poem.

Six months later…as a newly adjudicated second class citizen your “light of optimistic tomorrows” have left the shining city on the hill quite poorly lit.
