My husband is the chef for today’s culinary event. Portuguese-Irish by blood, adopted by German born mom who married an African-American from the South. We attend a non-denominational diverse church, where today people are sharing the food of their heritage. My husband makes a great German rouladen as well.

SERVED ON SUNDAY Buttery ham spicy-sweet. Juices coalesce greens - okra, collard, turnip with splash of hot sauce. A plate of cornbread and sweet tea, y’all! 4/28/2019

A wonderful poeto-gastronomic crescendo after the prosaic-genealogical preamble)

Sounds good to me...but then I'm a Southerner. Love turnip and collard greens, okra gumbo and ham with my mama's cornbread. Now that's a good Sunday dinner. Love this poem that brings back memories, Kim.

You should write for a food magazine, Kim, you make everything sound scrumptious!

I had to ask my Rabbi this question: Since I keep strictly kosher, am I allowed to salivate at this epulaeryu?! He smiled. Then so did I. Enjoy! Best wishes, Gershon
