Seriously
4/20/21
The odds were never Even Stevens
I have yet to find the Garden of Eden
Differences even in what we believe in
Ungrateful for such freedom
So quick to commit treason
Even without good reason
So typical and often every season
Occurs in nearly ever region
Always drinking more than just a beer or three
For too long, I moved around furiously
Yet curiously
Doing most of it mysteriously
At first it may appear to be
But the truth is not always clear to see
Please don't shed a tear for me
Just try to be here for me
Instead of looking at me like I'm talking deliriously
Hear me out, start hearing me
And take me seriously
For someone like you, I'd face it all fearlessly
I hope you really understand my message
And see that my intentions
Are authentic
I'd always put you first never second
I'm trying to leave more than an impression
Still looking for a connection
Despite all the misconceptions
Not being aggressive
Too excessive
Or obsessive
Here's a confession
Never expected or was after perfection
'999' percent of the time, there was rejection
And then multiply that by eleven
I mean, put a 9 followed by an eleven
They say every dog has its day, and that all dogs go to heaven
It's gone beyond my own personal comprehension
Been feeling like I'm in another dimension
And like I'm some kind of infection
Made changes and corrections
Listened and paid attention
Only to always face objection and never acceptance
Or any kind of affection
Living in an area with poor reception
Stay on your toes because there still is deception
Without question
If you don't already know, then it could really teach you a lesson
Left me breathless
Girl if you only knew, just like life to me you are precious
With you truly content, never restless
Get you pendants and a necklace
Take a trip to Texas
Buy you a Lexus
Because of you, I've no longer been looking for the exit
