Serial

Appears it takes two hands to grasp a new thing tight. My muse, no river daughter; she seems afraid of water. I do not know why I now row but simply cannot write.

aptly stated is my take here and know well the feeling....this is when I devote time to online lectures, music etc. but to be honest I isolate and shun the muse also...but immensely enjoyed the poem

Hello Jeff, I know the feeling of words coming to mind to write. Sometimes I look at the night sky to make me think. Hope your muse comes back. Soup mail my friend for the new book ... many blessings eve

Nice to see you writing again, Jeff. We miss your poetry. These things come and go, just go with the flow. You'll write again when the time is right for you and your soul needs to speak out. Smiles ~ Blessing A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Jeff, I don’t even have a Muse! Sometimes, I plain don’t want to read or write any poetry. Life presents us with various issues and opportunities. Simply, writers write after five years here of writing and commenting, I get burnt out. We all need to give our minds a rest. This is only my POV, Jeff. You are respected here. Good job. I remember when you first came here! Pangie.

Thanks, Pangie - it is just weird, after having poems just flood out for an extended period of time. I've had it come and go before, but I never wrote for such an extended period. I guess I'll know when I have something to say again... take care!

It's docking she awaits and will reappear when you stow the oar. A more than fair trade for a pen. You haven't lost your muse, Jeff. I don't think you'll ever need one.

I hope I can find a balance - I'm really enjoying the rowing and the encouraging online community associated with Aviron, but I miss my poems :-(

Very clever poem, Jeff! It seems to me your muse is alive in this one. I know the feeling..comes and goes!
