Notes About The Poem

Serenity and Peace

Serenity and Peace have come to me
these welcomed guests reside inside my heart
for "what will be, will be" I now can see
I am untouched by what will tear apart

for life is short and soon my time will end
regrets will not define my waning day
my hurt and pain to deep abyss I send
and choose to walk along the "Lover's Way"

my friends and loved ones see with crystal eyes
the woman and the child I am inside
their loyalty sees truth and no disguise
my heart I bare and dreams to them confide

Serenity and Peace have graced my soul
For Friendships true have made me strong and whole

I received news that a young man who was my student for two semester died in a car crash. It has taken me some time to wrap my mind around that. People can be petty....and say things that are so untrue...but I need to stay focused. Thanks for the visit, dear. Hugs
