Serenity

Let warm winds
     blow over your
aching body
      bring peace 
  into your soul
Palm trees overhead
    waves lapping on 
the shore
    If we continue 
to feel this way
     we will reach 
a place
           where worries 
are blown away
             like storm clouds 
after the storm is over
       On the azure Earth 
which we call home 
        We wish to be as one 
with the light of
dawn 
       and the shadows of night
Our goal seems unreachable at times
       But if we continue 
to strive
        Surely we will find a place
         where serenity caresses
         us
        like snow gently falling on a verdant valley
